cameron here we come~

juz came back from puchong...got some bank business 2 do, went 4 makan, bought some toiletries & did a little bit of jalan2...and now i'm back at home sweet home...going to rest & sleep early tonite coz we're going back to my hometown cameron 2morow...yippie~....the last that i went back was during my wedding reception which i think was 3 months ago....waaa, it's that long i didn't went back to cameron....no wonder each time i went back there was something new over there... :P

for those who don't know where cameron higlands is, it's located at the state of pahang, at the border of pahang & perak and pahang & kelantan....there are 2 routes to head to cameron, 1 is via the tapah way where the road is ultimately thrilling....hahaha~....for 1st timers using the road, better not fill up your stomach b4 the journey....otherwise, plz standby a plastic to throw out back what u have ate....the 2nd route is via the simpang pulai way....foreigners, tourist & travelers ultimately preferred this route due to it's much more friendly journey or shall i say the road itself....and due to it's eco friendly condition, the road is always filled with heavy traffic during weekends....i tell u, a normal journey from kampung raja (the name of a place at cameron, not the valley's king ehh) to brinchang would take about only 40~45 minutes will take 2 hours during the weekends!!....eventually the simpang pulai route can also lead u directly to gua musang, kelantan....i guess there should be 3 routes instead to head to cameron, another would be from kelantan...sorry, my bad....there's a junction to enter the kampung raja which is the entry point of cameron highlands when drive up the road via the simpang pulai way...
b4 entering kampung raja, u can start to see shops selling flowers, strawberry, veges and the list goes on...u can also see the flower, strawberry & vege farms....nice & beautiful sight, u can enjoy the view....however, there r also some unpleasant sights which spoilt mother earth's beauty....so karam singh walia, do make prompt visits to cameron to preserve mother nature (with hands raising)....and also, the climate isn't that cold as 10 years ago....so no need those thick wool jackets or cardigans, an average cardigan would do....unless it's rainy season...

what to do at cameron?....haha....typical question asked by my frenz who plan to visit cameron....if u planned on doing a shopping spree at cameron, i suggest u hit midvalley instead...but yes, u can do shopping, shopping for flowers, vegetables, cactus, strawberries, tea of various taste & aroma, etc....but your main purpose of visiting cameron would to enjoy the sight seeing of mother nature & do some relaxing....places that i suggest to visit would be cactus valley which is at Brinchang, Sungai Palas tea plantation (must visit, trust me...), Bharat tea plantation (take a sip of tea and enjoy their scones while leaving your eyes to enjoy the greenery of the tea plantation), Stesen MARDI at tanah rata :P and the pasar malam at brinchang...

there r tonnes of hotels at cameron from 1 star to 4 star....but dun expect any swimming pool at cameron coz no one will be swimming in a swimming pool at cameron....but, there's one at strawberry park, dunno whether it's still operational or not....got to check it out later....at cameron we have equatorial, heritage, rossa passadena, casa de la rosa, dela ferns, strawberry park, century pines resort....these are famous ones in cameron which are 3 & 4 stars....however, there are still a lot of other hotels at cameron & u can even find budget hotels over there for backpack travelers...however, if u plan to go on a big group or with big families, i would suggest u better get an apartment instead....and if u really planned and intend to go to cameron and looking for an apartment to stay, plz do let me know as i have contacts over there for apartments and can give u special rate (sorry to promote here, hahaha~)....pics of the apartment will be shown later...i'll be opening a special section for apartments inquiries & booking later for those interested, hehe....

at cameron, there are some things that u would not find it anywhere at kl which are the local products....and the local products are delicious and worth the penny, i guarantee....strawberry tea, scones, strawberry ice creams, strawberry coffee, dried strawberry (cameron is where strawberry grows, so what do u expect... :P) and the taste of all those are unique & exotic....u can't find them here at kl....nx time i'll post pics of some of the local products over there....alrite, enuff babling for today, i forgot i'm supposed to rest... :P ....oh ya, btw, we're going back 2 cameron to attend my childhood friend, eddie's wedding reception....will be posting the pics once back from cameron....stay tuned...

guy's outing

this morning was the team meeting...it was the usual bla bla bla...the only 1 thing interesting was we were shown the pics of the new HP campus at cyberjaya...they have squash, basketball, tennis & badminton court, a gym and even a place for yoga!!....i guess HP finally realized how stressful their staffs are at work :P ....

after the meeting we had breakfast at the cafeteria...about 30 minutes of minum2 & mkn2 & chit chat, then suddenly one guy suggested "jom wayang!"...so me, anas, fizi, firdaus & hadi went to cineleisure....i ride firdaus's car to the cineleisure due to i'm lazy to drive to cineleisure....that taught me a lesson...coming soon...

about 12:15 pm we were at the cineleisure cineplex counter.....upon agreed, ong bak 3 it is....we took the 1:35 pm show so there was about 1 hour before the show starts....we decided to hit the bowling alley to waste some time...man, it's been 2 years i haven't touched a bowling ball...we played 2 games....my 1st set was like me a newbie playing bowling....the longkang seems to have a magnet that attracts my bowling ball....damn!....1st set my score was only about 60 plus....hahaha...but there is more to come for the 2nd set and oh yeahhh, i got my touch back....my 2nd set score was 115....i'm back in business...yeahhh...

time to hit the cinema...ong bak 3 was about 1 and a half hours and it was the longest 1 and a half hour...where are all the actions?....man, it was damn boring compared to the 1st & 2nd installment....fizi almost slept & hadi slept!...hahaha...luckily it was only 6 ringgit for the ticket....after zuhur prayers, firdaus sent me back to the office coz i left my car there....upon arriving at the office, i saw something...what's that yellow thing at my tyre?....my car has been clamped!....arggghhhhh!!!....damnnn!!!.....there goes my 50 ringgit to the HP service center to release my car....huhuhu~....just when i thought my day was less stressful....haihhhhh~...lesson learnt...DO NOT PARK AT A RESTRICTED PARKING SPACE!!!...

entering adulthood ep. 1 part 1

life goes on and we would wonder how fast time past us by...how fast a person moves on in life...and how fast a person now enters a new whole world...last saturday, my childhood friend, eddie is officially a member of the 'boroi men' club...imran edzereiq is now the husband to masyitah...7:30 am saturday, me & my wife started our journey to kuantan in hope of making it to attend both the solemnization & wedding reception of eddie...but seems a little impossible to attend the 10 o'clock solemnization...

a little history of me & eddie...the both of us r the same species, hybrid humans of mixed chinese & malay...and yes, the both of us are proud hometown citizens of cameron highlands...both our mums knew each other for quite a long time, probably even before me & eddie came to this world, due to the fact that they are club 'abdullah' members (married to malay husband)...so basically, i knew eddie since we were 4 years old maybe...we do hangout too & i sometimes crash his home to lepak...and we were housemates for about 2 years before i was married....

and so, we arrived at kuantan at about 11:30 am and yes, we missed the solemnization...sorry again eddie, but we did managed to escort you to the bride's house :p ...upon arriving at kuantan, i turned on my gps and set the coordinate of taman guru kuantan(that's where the wedding reception is) and followed the navigation till we ended up in a dead end...damn, the coordinate that i googled the nite b4 was total crap...so we continued our journey in search of signboards of taman guru kuantan & other nearby landmarks that i could find at google...fortunately when we went too far astray, auntie angeline (eddie's mom) called me and asked "kat mane skang?"..."in front of hospital" i replied....luckily it wasn't too far astray from the prime destination...we made a turn back and waited at giant for my mom and her friend(oh ya, i forgot to mention that my mom followed auntie angeine down to kuantan) to fetch us....a black honda civic then arrives approximately after 15 minutes and we followed it to where we were supposed to be heading....we then arrived at a house for the assembly b4 the procession of the groom to the bride's house...upon arriving, we saw the happy smiling face eddie....sah!....hahhaa

1:30 pm after the zuhur azan, the procession started...kompangs are a must...the bride greets the groom...and they walk down the aisle(only thing there is no aisle)...before heading to the pelamin, the bride & groom(and also all that were present) were entertained by a silat performance...quite interesting i would say...after that, on to the pelamin for photograph session...family members, friends & relatives took turns to have a photo shoot with the newly weds...after that, makan time!....normal wedding dishes were server but a little special they have prawns served & the nasi minyak was delicious...4 stars for the food & dishes...

after makan, took a few more shots on the camera...a little bit hu over here and ha over there, congratulate eddie again, bid farewell to them & my mum & auntie angeline, my wife & i started our journey back to kl at around 3:15 pm and safely arrived back at our home at almost 7:00 pm...pheww~....what an exhausted day it was....however, congratz again eddie...

my pug's clinic visit

it's time for my pug's 30k servicing...and this time i decided to go to another workshop instead of my 2 previous visit at the juta autowheels puchong...geot auto pj that is...it's not that i'm not satisfied with juta auto wheels but it's just so-so and geot auto seems to have positive feedbacks...so, geot auto we go....
arrived at geot auto approximately 10:30 am...went to the reception, passed the key & reported what else needs to be fixed...the person at the reception was friendly and was attentive(2 thumbs up)...guess my future visits will be geot auto as they even do major servicing, over haul & even warranty claim...have i mention that they carry Total lubricant?...after that off to the customer waiting lounge....hey, they have wifi!...that's all i need... :) ...however, after that i went to look at my pug...coolant topped up, engine oil changed and now using Total lubricant(oh yeahh) & my boot light is now working!....then, final check of my pug using their laptop thingy...
after about 2 hours of waiting, my pug is all set to go...oh ya, they even washed my pug after the service (2 thumbs up again here)...saves me 10 ringgit to send for washing... :p
overall, i was very satisfied with the service of my pug...definitely will make a return visit...
